This is a holiday film I made whilst grumpily mooching the streets of Berlin, doing my usual obsessive filming and ignoring the Misses. I had a nice time really and i put it to music so it seems i had some sort of plan to my filming, which i rarely do. We came across some ballet dancers in one of the big train stations which was rather lovely and surreal.

Another little film with my favorite camera, new years day walk on the beach with good friends Mr. Peplow and Miss Tyndale. Saw the new year in down south and went to see the sea at Buldleigh Salterton in Devon. This is the first film I also made the soundtrack for.

Me and my friend Emma went for a walk in the woods to test my harinezumi camera. We came across a length of wool, disappearing off the path into the trees. Emma began to follow the thread and untangle it as she went, wandering deeper into the dark depths of the woods. Eventually it led us to a clearing to discover a strange and magical festive surprise...

I Just put this together with some bits of footage I found buried in my hard drive. Filmed on a basic digital camera a few years ago when i was in HK for Christmas. I am a stern believer in analogue, beauty is in the imperfections; i love old cameras, i still use film, play real instruments and prefer vinyl records. Using a low res shitty camera, which gets wonderfully confused trying to focus and get the exposure right and cheating with a few after effects I'm quite pleased with the results. I had a bunch of Lomo photos i took at the same time so tried to create a sort of cross processed film/super8 style version in video. I got the idea from this, the first as far as i can tell lo-fi digital camera, currently only available in Japan it seems.

This is a nice sequence my friend Chris took of me skating the installation i made for the last Outcrowd show. Chris goes by the name Prime Objective and makes rather good films and takes a mean photo. We made a film called Fidget together for the straight8 competition and i crop up here and there amongst his work. Anyway check out his site, which is also pretty slick and send him your love..
